Peter Sagnia is a Film producer and director, and has been involved in Theatre and Video production for over 20 years. He is originally from London, England. He was born to parents of Trinidadian and Gambian heritage. He attended the “Anna Scher Acting School” in London, and went on to take an Acting and Theatre Arts course in college, (including Television, Politics and Communications). After visiting St.Maarten in the early 90s, he officially moved to the island in 2003. He is also a playwright with a number of plays to his credit, and has been featured in several plays by Sunshine Theatre. He is currently working on several Film and TV projects designed to give a voice to the amazing talent the Caribbean has to offer.
His films include Antillean Green Card, ‘Mixed Blessings’ and the feature film ‘Consumed’.
He moved to the U.S Virgin Islands for a short period and continued his filmmaking career by producing and directing the feature film ‘That Which Is Needful’, which he also wrote as a stage play. He also produced and directed the film ‘Preciosa’ which highlighted the topic of human trafficking in the Virgin Islands, and the short film ‘Family’. He has produced several commercials for corporations and companies including NBC, KFC, Pizza Hut, Nagico Insurances, UTS and many more.
He has returned to St.Maarten and runs a professional Film and Video Production company that produces industry standard TV commercials for corporations and companies requiring quality commercials for their marketing departments in and around the Caribbean.
