Penelope Hynam, managing director at Sea Weaver Productions Inc., has had a 20-year career in Canada at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation & CITY television, as assistant Producer/Producer at independent company Mobius Productions, as a Script Supervisor on over 40 movies and TV dramas and as founding Assistant Director at Norman Jewison’s Canadian Film Centre. In Barbados from 1992 she was Director of the Barbados National Trust and George Washington House and Museum and continued to work in filmmaking: Chattel House (doc, co-prod.), George Washington in Barbados (Prod., docu-drama), Island Icon: Dr.Cecil Cyrus (writer, co-prod, director), A Day in a Bajan Life (Prod. -Series of 10 short film portraits) and is in development on a 13 part television series Growing Up Caribbean and a documentary on a local rising star Barbados Surfer Girl.
